The exciting new for this week is the confirmed sighting of Baby G’s middle top left tooth. Tooth number 4. It caused some discomfort the morning it was breaking through the gum, but it didn’t seem to bother him too much as the day progressed. He’s also able to sit in the baby swing and propped in between pillows.
Little Russ is doing well. Lately he’s been putting Stripped Kitty in his t-shirt like I put Baby G in the baby carrier. It’s super cute. He’s also been a little more interactive with G. He will even occasionally give him a toy when he sees G reach for one. His tantrums seem to have calmed a bit. He seems to respond well as long as I prep him before we go places that he has to listen to mommy, especially when it’s time to leave.
Russ is in the “field” this week and his Det is going through their mid-cycle inspection. So far it’s going really well. They have successfully completed their Admin checks and boat operations. Today and tomorrow they are doing campsite ops. And to brag a bit about my husband, the CO and lead Group inspector said that he gave the best “Confirmation” brief they had ever hear and they finished their boat ops 4 hours early. Anyway, hopefully the rest of the inspection will go as well.
I’m doing well too. Not much going on. I have my nose surgery scheduled for late Oct. Hopefully I’ll be able to breathe a little better and get a straighter nose out of it.
Sorry no videos this week. Russ isn’t here to shrink them.
